Project 5 : Hockney Collage

In Project 5 we will look to the work of David Hockney for inspiration. Hockney is one of the most influential and famous English artists. He works in many mediums, but we will focus on his photography work. Some of his most famous work involves taking many separate photographs in order to create one. Some liken these photographs to the cubist work of Picasso and Braque. In any case take a look at the photos below to get an idea of what we are aiming for on this project. I would like you to make 2 collages: one portrait and one space (dorm room, classroom, dining hall etc..). With that in mind each collage should be made up of at least 15 photos. Your photos should have some overlap and do not all have to be straight (you might even want your collage to also form and interesting shape like a circle or diamond). Have fun and make it interesting.
